MOAB TRIP

NOVEMBER 2000

We visited Moab Utah over the Thanksgiving holiday.  We had a fun time with our friends Randy and Sandy.  Randy and Sandy  prepared an awesome Thanksgiving dinner of grilled salmon, potatoes and our now famous "vegetable medley".

We visited Dead Horse Point State Park.  This has a commanding view of the Colorado River and the entire canyonlands region.  Click on the photos if you want a clearer picture.

We paid a visit to Arches NP which has outstanding scenery and many cool arches.   Below is the incomparable "Delicate Arch" with the snowcapped La Sal Mountains as a backdrop.  The sandstone arch is about 40 feet tall.

Before coming home we visited Canyonlands National Park.  We checked out the vistas in the Island in the Sky District which is the northern third of the park.
