1/1/2014 - My eyes popped open after only 4 hours of sleep and I went down to check out the sunrise. The beach was busy with lots of Mexican folks wrapping up the night of partying and to see the new dawn. I spotted what looked like some lifeless crabs but then saw they were tiny sea turtles who must have hatched last night. Los Tres Amigos. I touched one and it moved! But they were faced the wrong way, about 15 meters from the water, and not moving so I took them down to the water's edge where they perked up at feeling the ocean. After letting them get use to things, I put them further in and they flapped their little flippers and swam away. It was a great start to 2014!
