They built a very cool ice castle in Breckenridge this winter. It was especially scenic in the evening with the glow of multicoloured lights

And they also had the yearly snow sculpture contest which is always well done. Art in snow

We also took part in the Crested Butte Alley Loop ski races. Sharon did the fun ski which is loaded with lots of fun costumes. And Chris took on the marathon

The US Women's soccer team took on China in Denver in April

Then it was on to Boston for Sharon's Marathon! At the expo there was a wall that everyone signed to show their support for the city.

The day before the race the finish line was packed with people. The citizens and racers are trying to move on after the painful last year. It was a celebration of community

 

There was a large contingent of Colorado Springs runners on hand too.

Here we are out at the start line in Hopkinton. We pre-drove the course to survey the challenges

Then it was race day! The leaders were flying including eventual champion Meb and his rabbit Ryan Hall

It was great to see Team Hoyt in their last marathon together. 32nd Boston!

Sharon was flying high at mile 6. It was a beautiful day and the course was packed with spectators

And an awesome finish time too! It was a lifetime highlight to run that historic course. Expecially this year!

We then got a fix of Utah in the spring and did some hiking in Canyonlands National Park
